Different ways of using the bot?
Different ways of using the bot?
So I've messed around with pwnage previously, and while it's definitely useful for handling some of the more "grindy" aspects of LotRO, I'm curious if there are other ways to use it.
Could it be setup as a rotation bot? You would have to be actively at your PC, playing the game, moving your character around, and selecting targets. But the bot does the "heavy lifting" of attacking for you.
and/or
Could it be set up as a fellow bot? Similar idea to multi-boxing, except you control the main client, the bot controls the secondary, etc. Follows you around, and performs the needed task of healing/dps/etc.
I looked through the settings to see if there was even a rudimentary way of doing either of these but couldn't figure it out.

Re: Different ways of using the bot?
Sadly due to the complexities of such scenarios, pwnagebot does not have the ability to do that.
I've set multiple in a fellowship and on the same path, but they tend to get split up. I'd recommend smaller areas if doing this so they at least stay within 80m (kill sharing distance in lotro for fellowship)

Re: Different ways of using the bot?
Well I use pwnagebot as a combatbot. I saved one point as a grindspot, paused the bot, moved out of the area so the bot is in unmapped region and it performs the combatroutine.
Sadly it switches targets as it's pleased alike and playing with other people is quite hard because the bot moves always back to the mobs position after another gamer killed the mob. Sometimes it just crashes and I have to restart.
I would really love an option to turn off targetting and movement at all, because the fightingspeed is extraordinary compared to this crappy viperbot I tried for a while.
Since I'm handycapped with only one arm this could make me even usefull in playing with other people.

Re: Different ways of using the bot?
Really? This would be awesome.
Re: Different ways of using the bot?
When you want to start the rotation?
When you are aggro'd and in combat mode and do you want to make the first attack manually to get in combat mode?
Because when you manually target a foe, maybe you dont want to start the rotation imediately

That would be very kind of you. I would offer help but I'm quite bad at coding.

Any progress yet?
Re: Different ways of using the bot?
Yes, I will build a test version for you tomorrow.
Maybe 1-2 hickups will be in. So would be cool to get feedback after your tests...

Oh great I'm very excited.
Re: Different ways of using the bot?
Here are the first test version: http://syphi.net/lotro/download/pwnageb ... 2_1234.zip
you should:
- pull range 40 under grind
- aggro rotation only ON under grind
- disable loot under loot

Re: Different ways of using the bot?
Really like it so far but after engaging in a fight with my champion I can't change target, I can`t move towards the enemy and I'm bound to the position I start fighting. Meleeclass infight worst thing is being unable to move.

Still actively maintaining this thing hey? I've often wondered what happened to it...rhui wrote:Here are the first test version: http://syphi.net/lotro/download/pwnageb ... 2_1234.zip
