POIs - How to best use ?

Can someone explain a little bit hwo this POIs functionality work ?

Am I to understand that you can have one milestone as a point of interest and that if you click go to - assuming you have a path, the bot will get there directly ?

How do you best use blacklisted PoIs ?

I have to say this screen was never really clear to me.

From memory this function didn't work particularly well either. It was one of those idea's carried over from v1 that was never implemented (or fixed).

You can set a POI, but when you hit Goto, as you said, it requires several things.
1. you are on a valid path point already
2. you can get to the POI from your current path point (no breaks in the paths)
3. You don't want to do anything while it does it.

This last point is the problem, because if you get agro'd or see something along the way that you'd like to stop for, you cannot because there is no cancel option.

I don't recall what the blacklist did. At the moment I just think it stores the POI separately, and you can't "Goto" it while it is in the blacklist.


This is one of those things which would be really handy for other uses if we had a decent navmesh.

Ok - this is pretty much the answer I was expecting from you

I usually create a location set with a single grind point with grind range 2 or 3 to create my "Travel destination " .

It is easy to do

I used to use it but found it easier for me to just create a grindspot with locations. For example I would have a grindspot named Stable and have the locations be stable masters. Or Vendors and have some locations. Worked really well unless you had to zone.
