This is pretty good

Post by dannyo13 » Tue Nov 12, 2013 5:44 pm

So I have been using the bot for a few days now, took a while to get things figured out but after some help from reading the forum things seem to be running smoothly. The only question i have is why the heck turbine doesn't use a hack shield or other security program?

edit: also, what do i need to do to be able to run 2 lotro clients at the same time?

Seems to have changed since i last did it but this should work: open mydocuments/TheLordoftheRingsOnline open user preferances in notepad scroll down to the headline that say Launcher and set AllowMultipleInstances=true (it probably says false as a default)
i also usually open the lancher.exe on one client and invoker.exe on the other one...
Hope it helps

You can also set this via a tickbox in the Options for the launcher. Click the down arrow in the launcher, and on the General tab, tick the Allow multiple game instances option.

There is no difference to the game using the Invoker/Launcher. The icons setup for the TurbineInvoker are from older installations. The TurbineLauncher is a newer installation (in use since Turbine rewrote the Launcher from .NET to C++).

The TurbineInvoker is nothing but a bootstrap which then loads TurbineLauncher. All the important login stuff is processed in the Launcher.

ok great thanks. I am running into difficulty when using the bot with my hunter. He never attacks anything. Probably a rookie mistake. any ideas?

either you min distance is set too low (in xml file) or your pull range is really low in which case he won't fight a monster unless very close.

Figured it out. I had the pull distance right. What seemed to be the problem is that under "skills" i had abilities selected that i didnt know. whats i unchecked the ones i didnt need it worked.

edit: perfect now i got 3 bots going =)
