have you enabled the correct class.xml? - the default is hunter. Also check the skills you want to enable in skills tab and disable any you dont have/use. Again refer to the start guide on forum.

Could you post a little bit about the settings that you chose, and how you setup the bot?
I had an issue when I first started where my character would run up to mobs, but not attack them and would die. Turns out my class.xml file had a melee distance of 2.5, but the actual max melee range was 2. So, I had to update my class.xml file to change my melee distance to 1.9.
Not sure if that is your problem, but could be anything based on the information provided.
