Questions to be answered!

First of all, hi!

I've been using glider (wow-botting-program) for quite a while now for fun mostly but also to sell some ingame gold to earn me some real life cash  . Lately I've been wondering about pwnagebot.

As you probably can see im new to this forum so I have no experience whatsoever using this bot. I've however been reading quite alot about it, but I still stand with some question marks:

1. How's the market regarding ingame vaules? Is it worth botting to earn some extra cash?

2. Is the bot safe? And how does this bot stand against other Lotr bots?

3. How much will the bot cost in the future?

4. What are Lotrs response to bots? How can they (if they can) detect you?

5. Is there a future in this bot? How long will it run?

6. And finally I would like to hear what you guys think of pwnagebot.

Thanks for your time, I know I probably can search for most of the stuffs but I thought it would be nice to have all the information under the same topic. Best regards/ Skoogh

Don't bot for selling gold in LOTRO.
It's pretty easy to gather decent cash in LOTRO, thus you would waste your time (my opinion).

Would'nt really waste my time, still going strong on wow. My main concern is that I would fail. I have'nt played the game at all. Im a fast learner though. But if there's no market it sounds like a waste of money. Anyone know if there's any sucessful lotro (gold?) selling company?

It dipped a bit with the release of the expansion. Gold prices went from $0.5-0.6/gold to $0.4/gold. Of course I'd argue that it's probably faster to farm gold with the new levels/equipment/mobs/etc. There also seemed to be a bit of an oversupply, but I'm starting to see it open up again. I'm not sure if this is because demand has gone back to normal, or because supply has decreased because of Chinese New Year.

In it's current form it doesn't have too many safety features (I plan to add quite a few to the new version), but I was able to bot 18 hours a day for a month straight without issue.

Originally I was planning on doing a small one-time fee ($15-20). Now I'm tossing around the idea of just making it a small monthly fee instead ($3-5). I haven't really decided as the bot has been free for over a year and a half now.

Generally you get reported, and then a CSR investigates. They do a ACM test I think it's called, which basically causes the client to do something like, pop up a window that says, enter the sum of these two numbers in the box within 30 seconds. If you fail to respond within 30 seconds you get a warning and a 24 hour ban I think it is. Second offense is a 7 day ban. Third offense is a permanent ban. This seems to happen rarely in my experience.

As long as I can find the time to keep it going. I've recently been rewriting the bot to more generic so it'll apply to other games as well. So even if I move on to another game as my focus, Lotro should benefit from the new features as well.

Love the bot, hate gold sellers! The bot is very effective for leveling and resource collecting (which you can turn into gold). Collectively over the last couple weeks I have gained over 60 levels. I run the bot 10-16 a day with multiple accounts.

I would prefer to see this bot stay in the hands of players, but it's inevitable that gold farmers will use it too.

It works very well and the next version looks very promising.

Gold prices have dropped and it's a buyers market now. Conversely, the value of gold has dropped greatly in-game for all the endgame players. If you are going to farm and sell gold, it seems just before and after a major update are the times to do it.

Well I have always used openkore for botting, that was an old Ragnarok bot with a lot of console based commands, so having something like this to work with is very nice.

With the other bots, they were aware of their surroundings, and stayed within a map. With this bot, you set your way points that will be followed, and you can save them and use them over and over.

For me, I would never use this bot as a way to make money. And if you do, I think it would only be fare to kick back a bit to the dev.

As you can see, this is a very small community and mystexodus is very involved with all of us, and to me that is the most amazing part of this whole experience.

Botting to me, is actually just as fun, if not better than playing the game on your own. I don't know why, but for me there is a great deal of satisfaction watching a movie and knowing your guy is getting just a bit stronger and richer.

Before the pointers got changed yesterday, I almost had my Minstrel do all of lvl 37 by bot. But then again, I just got into the bot 3 days ago but I was using the radar for months.
