OPTION: tells only from friends, fellows & kinship

After running a bot session the first thing I usually do is look to see if someone has sent me a tell and how long ago, just to make sure someone isnt testing me or keeping watch.

Anyways, I recently checked the option: only accept tells from friends, fellows & kinship. and I just looked to see if there were any tells, of course there werent. But I was wondering how the option worked and if any tells were negated before the bot could pick it up and I was wondering if I have the option checked does it tell the person anything like: soandso only accepts tells from friends?
