A question from a newbie to bot programs

I am thinking about using a bot program, now that the open tapping thing turbine started with update 9 has basically screwed up quest drops while 2 boxing. Has anyone tested these bots with update 9, if so are quest/page drops occuring while using them? Never used a bot program before.
