Best end-game class for botting?

Post by Pr0geny » Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:24 am

Hunter (for speed?)

Guardian (for fatties?)

Warden (for everything?)

I've currently ran a minstrel up to 45 but he keeps dying on me when he pulls 2+ mobs...he also can't handle elites. I've used the skins from botting to deck him out in the best gear, but he's still not doing so hot. And, he's slooooow.

So I'm looking for a different class to bot end-game for fun and profit. Any thoughts?

Wardens are tough and can last, but not usually with the bot. This is because to be effective, they rely on their gambit system, and although you can get it to work with the bot, its quite difficult to get the codes right.

Guardian is much easier and will work.

Of the 3 you mentioned, hunter will be the fastest to lvl up, mainly because of its high DPS and the fact that in can attack from range. From personal experience i got my hunter to lvl 51 using the bot.

I havn't used a LM so i dont know about that but currently im working on a runekeeper and its working wonderfully. Def. much faster at killing then the hunter but since im limited to light armor i find my self taking a lot more damage (not dieing though!) :)

I would go for Warden or Hunter.
They are a good mix of fast and high DPS (Warden if set up correctly), medium armour (LM and RK are light armoured, which makes them very vulnerable when beeing hit by 2-3 mobs) and pretty high moral, which makes them last longer (when being hit by more than one mob).
Both start there combat from the distance and again, if sert up correctly can beat down 1/3 to 2/3 of the mobs moral, before the mob comes into meele range.

For me Hunter would be choice #1 (as may main is a hunter and I know the H pretty well), as he is easier to set up then a Warden.
Warden comes in close #2 only because he is a bit harder to set up.

Guardian is a good choice as well, though I prefer the classes that mass out peak damage from afar allready and then finish off the mob in close combat.

Regarding leveling up, apart from my Hunter (whom I personally levelled up)and the Runekeeper (which I haven't started yet), I must say, the Warden, though the initial set up is a pain, was the easiest and fastest one to bot into high lvl range (60+).

Hope that helped.

Best,

So far, in order, i've botted a hunter, runekeeper, and am currently botting a warden. I agree with Darius above, although the warden is a pain to set up, if you do it correctly, it proves to be the most effective.

I dunno- my champ takes 2 mobs at once easy and dies rarely. Plus very easy setup.

I haven't really botted the new classes, but Hunter was by far the fastest previously. Guardian was the most resilient to adds, but your gold farm rate was pretty sad at the end.

I was going to work on the Warden gambit system a few weeks ago, got started, and got depressed about the changes required and quit. :(

My 65 Minny can handle more than my decked out 65 champ. Slow is a good word though. He can pull 2 elites and another add and still survive though- my champ would be struggling with 2 elites. Course the Minny will take 3 times longer than the champ to burn regular adds down. Unless he gets a devastate.

going for minstrel here. my minstrel can bot mobs 6-7 levels above him and can easily take on elites that are even 1-2 levels above him. Can handle up to 3 mobs so far at the same time and same level.

Hunters are by far the fastest for farming in my experience. Guardians handle adds pretty well and was my original class actually. I've had minstrels that can handle tough mobs really well, but die to many adds, and are slow to farm.
